Father Capodanno’s football team started the Friday off, giving back to Moore Montessori Community School. Father Capodanno work closely with the Montessori School. The Montessori allows the Grunts to use their field and gym as for home games while Father Capodanno builds their new school.

The Grunts paid a little back before their big win at Lee Christian by helping the Montessori School move classroom furniture to around campus. Five hours later, the Grunts would play in a big away game.

I was once told that being apart of a small school means everyone must do a little of everything. Most of the Grunts play multiple sports. Canon Capps is one of those student athletes. He scored touchdowns on Friday night in Sanford and 12 hours later is running in the schools first cross country match in Charlotte.

Quarterback Ian Hicks led several players into the end zone Friday. Among those scoring were: Braedon Hudson, Jefferson Fraley, Caleb Raetz, Eli Brown, Daniel Owen, James Taylor, and Canon Capps.

The Grunts won their first game of the season 54-6.

The Grunts began their first season of Cross Country by competing in the Carolinas Kickoff in Charlotte Saturday morning. Those running include: Salem Capps, Sarah Raetz, Canon Capps, Caleb Raetz, and Evan (EJ) Wild.
