Mustang Season

The 2024-2025 Mustang seasons will begin in a few short weeks, and for the last time North Moore will be in a 1A classification and a part of this conference as we know it. In the fall of 2025, the NCHSAA will have 8 classification. There are a lot of unknowns on how many teams will make playoffs and what conferences will look like. With all the unanswered questions about next year, we know one thing. It is a new season in Mustang Country, a clean slate and one last chance for teams to win 1/2A Mid-Carolina Championship.

There is one coaching change for the Mustangs in the fall. Crystal Bartholamew will coach cross country. The Mustangs will only host two sporting events in August, making it a long wait for fans to attend home games. Here is last seasons recap and August schedules.

Football: Coached by Andrew Carrouth

Last season 10-3 overall 7-1 conference and co conference champions. The Mustangs season ended on the road in the third round of the state playoffs. They will be playing for their third straight conference title and what will be the last in this conference. The Mustangs will have a new look after losing a dozen seniors, including the quarterback and running back positions.

8/16 Moore County Kickoff Classic at Pinecrest vs West Stanley. Games start at 6 p.m. with the Mustangs playing at 7 p.m.

8/30 at Southwest Randolph 7:30 p.m.

Men’s Soccer: Coached by Luis Peralta

The Mustangs finished last season with a 15-5-2 overall record and 9-4-1 in the conference. Their journey in the playoffs ended in the 5th round.

8/12 at Montgomery Central 6 p.m.

Ladies Tennis: Coached by Tami Little

The ladies finished 7-7 last season and lost four seniors. They got eliminated in the second round of the NCHSAA Dual Team Championship.

8/12 vs Northwood 4:30 p.m.

8/19 at Southeast Alamance 4:30 p.m.

Volleyball: Coached by Crystal Leenheer

Last season the ladies finished 16-9 overall, 11-6 and placing third in the conference. They were defeated in the second round of the state playoffs and lost four seniors.

8/12 vs Father Capodanno time TBA

8/13 at Northwood 6 p.m.

8/15 at Chatham Charter 6 p.m.

8/19 at Father Capodanno time TBA

8/29 at Seaforth 6 p.m.
