Preseason Interview - North Moore Women’s Soccer

The North Moore Mustangs Women’s Soccer team are excited to be back in action on Monday at Montgomery Central. Their season came to an end last year in the 3rd round of the playoffs and finished 9-6 overall.

Only 18 girls showed up for tryouts this season, which is the lowest Coach Peralta has ever seen, but all 18 are committed. “Preseason workouts have had a great turnout, with most of the team attending every session. The overall attitude has been positive and the girls are working hard and eager to learn,” said Peralta.

Peralta will look for Senior Diana Maria and Junior Bethany Ulloa to help lead and grow the younger players. “These two are driven and encouraging to their teammates. They do what is asked of them to the best of their ability and they are very vocal in support of their teammates. They know my expectations and are eager to have a successful season, and that attitude is contagious,” said Peralta. “This season is a season of growth. I am looking to develop my players’ skills individually while teaching some team fundamentals. I have some strong returning players I think will work hard and we also have some new, young players who are eager to grow.”

“The team is very positive and excited to get started. I appreciate their dedication and respect to themselves, each other, and this program as they show up consistently, prepared and punctual and work through the end of each session. They take criticism as an opportunity for growth and they focus on what I ask them to, and that’s all any coach wants,” said Peralta. “I am very excited about the mentality of this group, and look forward to all that they can accomplish in the next few months.”

March 18 is the scheduled date for the Lady Mustangs' first home game. The ladies will play on the road until then. Below is the 2024 schedule and roster.
