Jon Rahm Withdraws from 2024 U.S. Open

Jon Rahm has withdrawn from the 2024 U.S. Open Championship in Pinehurst on Tuesday, June 11, due to an injury.

29-year-old Rahm was the winner of the 2021 championship at Torrey Pines’ South Course. He was scheduled to compete in his ninth U.S. Open beginning Thursday in the first round.

Rahm was paired with Hideki Matsuyama and Jordan Spieth, and was slated to tee off from the first hole at 1:36 p.m.

The first alternate has been called up to enter the 124th U.S. Open. 24 year old Jackson Suber from Tampa, Florida will replace Rahm. Suber qualified as an alternate in Rockville Maryland. He shot 70 and 65 at Woodmont Country Club on June 3rd,

This will be Suber’s first U.S. Open, bust has recorded two top-10 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour. He is from the Univerity of Mississippi where he earned All-American in 2021-2022.
