Moore County Fair 2023

The Moore County Fair kicked off on Wednesday and is running through Saturday.

This year there aren’t much fair food options, but they still have some of the classics like cotton candy, candy apples, and funnel cakes. There are also several food trucks. We tested the taco truck and the BBQ truck, along with Quencher’s Lemonade.

The $12 taco plates off the taco truck came with rice and some of the best pintos. Well worth it. The Brisket Nachos were also a great option. Quenchers are local to Moore County and they are always our favorite. We stopped by to get seconds on the way out. They have regular, blue raspberry and strawberry. I would say strawberry would be my favorite.

There are plenty of rides for the family, both thrilling for adults and slow for the kids. We rode multiple rides and some more than once. a 24 pack of family tickets will run you $25. You can also buy singles for $1.50 each. They also have wrist bands for $20.00. Each ride will cost you 3-4 tickets.

There are all of your classic fair games, my families favorite was coin pusher. Game prices vary, but can run you up to $10 a game.

On certain nights, they will have wrestling for entertainment and, of course, live local music. You can’t forget the exhibits either. The exhibits are located in the buildings behind the rides and food trucks.

It was definitely a fun experience for the family. There wasn’t as much out there as previous years, but it was worth it.

If you are heading out today or tomorrow reminder, there is a $2 charge for parking.
