Patriots advance to 5-0

Pinecrest Patriots win streak is now five early in the season. An almost perfect pitching performance by Conner Tepatti and Bryant Kimbrell. The shutout only gave up one hit in the 5-0 victory over Richmond.

Tepatti pitched two innings and gave up one hit while striking out six batters. Kimbrell pitched five innings, only walking two batters and striking out 11.

The Patriots achieved 10 hits while three players reached base through walks and only four players were struck out. Grayson Hudgins led the team at the plate, going 3 for 4 with one RBI. Tepatti and Addison Roth both had two hits. Tepatti drove in one run and Roth drove in two.

The 5-0 Patriots will travel to Harnett Central who are 2-2 on Wednesday. The first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.4
