Lady Vikings move to 4-0
The Union Pines Women’s Lacrosse are now 4-0 on the season. The Lady Vikings played their second conference game of the season at home against Terry Sanford.
The Lady Vikings got off to a quick start, scoring back-to-back goals in minutes of the game starting. Terry Sanford didn’t get their first goal until 2:24 left in the first quarter. By the end of the first quarter, the Vikings led 10-1.
Senior Janie Spicer, who scored six, led the scoring, followed by freshman Ellie Powell with five and junior Addison Volitis with five, as the Vikings dominated the entire game and won 24-3.
Not only was it a big win for the Lady Vikings, but junior Addison Violitis celebrated scoring her 100th career goal.
Spicer had six assist, and 12 ground balls. Also, leaders with ground balls were: freshman Ellie Powell 12, junior Addison Volitis 7. freshman Anna Gaab 7. Draws won were as follows: freshman Ellie Powell 8. senior Janie Spicer 5. Junior Izzy Bonillo had one goalie save.

The Lady Vikings will travel to Athens Drive next Friday. JV will play at 5 p.m. and Varsity at 6:30 p.m.
