Union Pines soccer off to slow start.
It’s not the start the Vikings were hoping for, losing its first three games. The Vikings opened the season Thursday at Fike. “Fike took control of the match, converting second chance opportunities and led 5-0 at halftime,” said Coach Blatz.
They would lose Thursday 7-0. The Vikings will remain scoreless in the season. Losing to White Oak 6-0 on Friday and Northside- Jacksonville on Saturday.
Three days, three losses and no goals made is not the start to the season the boy’s soccer team hoped for. They will look to turn things around on Tuesday at winless South Garner. The Vikings will have their home opener on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Rocky Mount.
