Union Pines Volleyball lost season opener Wednesday night.

After Tuesday's game was rescheduled due to power outages, the Lady Vikings traveled to Triton for their season opener.. The Vikings lost in three sets: 1. 18-25 2. 18-25 3. 21-25.

“The Viking TOUGH player of the match goes to Tyne Ross,” said Coach Marks.

Individual Stats were: Sydney Hay: 13 Assists, 5 Digs, Tyne Ross: 11 Kills, 8 Digs, 4 Kills, Madeline Adair: 9 Digs, 8 Kills, Alley Hise: 6 Assist, Alleigh Mabe: 6 Kills, and Claire Weld: 3 Blocks.

The Lady Vikings will have their home opener tomorrow night against Western Harnett.
