Father Capodanno Grunts hope for wins before the break.

The Lady Grunts defeated Thomas Academy Eagles on Wednesday 37-0. Julie Attar led the team with 16 points.

Thomas Academy Eagles led the men’s game 18-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. “The Grunts showed grit and clawed back to tie the game in the second half,” said Athletic Director Andy Attar. The Grunts could not complete the comeback, losing 56-50. Luke Moon led the Grunts in scoring with 18 points.

On Friday, both Grunt teams traveled to Thomas More Academy. The Lady Grunts fell 56-19, making the Grunts 4-4 on the season. The Ladies will travel to Clinton for a conference game against Spirit of Life Christian Academy on Tuesday for the ladies’ last game before the break.

The men are still looking for their first win of the season. They were defeated 68-33. They will host Life Spring Academy on Monday for a conference game. They will then travel on Tuesday to Spirit of Life Christian Academy for their last game before the break.
