Grunts fall to 1-3

On another hard-fought contest on the gridiron, Father Capodanno unfortunately dropped to 1 – 3 on the season after visiting St. David’s Academy on Friday night. The game was a lot closer than the 37 – 0 final score showed as the gritty Grunt team played tough against the fast St. David offense all night.

The Warrior offense was able to capitalize on two touchdown passes of 70 and 73 yards to extend the scoreboard, however the Grunt defense stifled an offense that won it’s previous two games primarily by an effective running game. Even after losing one of their key weapons to an unfortunate injury in the third quarter, the Grunts kept the Warrior offense out of the end zone the rest of the game.  

This week, the Grunts will look to make some adjustments and bring their defensive mettle to the offense as the 2 – 1 Faith Christian Patriots march into town coming off a bye week.
