Lady Viking tennis moves to round two

Union Pines advances to the second round of the NCHSAA 3A Dual Team State Tournament. The Vikings defeated Charles B. Aycock at home on Wednesday 5-1.

The results are as follows:

5 Ceilidh Clendenin UP d. Audrey Edmundson 6-1, 6-0

6 Kinsley Creel UP d. Carli Evans CBA 6-4, 6-1

The Lady Vikings are now 12-3 overall.

Five Lady Vikings, Tyne Ross, Abby Robertson, Bella Edwards, Ceilidh Clendenin, and Lynn Yoxtheimer will compete in the Mid-East Regional.

The Vikings will travel to Burlington Tennis Center on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s match time is 1:00 p.m.
