Lady Vikings lose to Lee, guys win at home

The Union Pines Women’s Basketball Team lost to Lee County tonight at home, with a final score of 49-38. 

Junior Alley Hise led the Vikings with 10, and senior Corryn McCutchen with 9. The Lady Vikings are now 10-8 overall, and 4-3 in SAC play. The Vikings’ next game will be next Friday night at home against Scotland. 

The Union Pines Boys Basketball Team hosted Lee County tonight for their first game of 2024. Lee County defeated the Vikings with a final score of 77-72. 

Jaylen Kyle led the Vikings with 29 points, Trent Hilburn with 19 points, and Kingsley Donaldson with 18 points. 

The Vikings, now 9-9, will host Scotland on Friday, February 2nd for Senior Night where they will honor Grey Booker, Zion Kiser, Jackson Sales, Christian Hackett, and Trent Hilburn.
