Vikings advance, Mustangs season ends

The 7th ranked Lady Vikings head to the third round of the NCHSAA 3A tournament after defeating 23 ranked Western Alamance on Tuesday.

It took five sets for the Vikings to get the win. Set 1: 18-25, Set 2: 26-24, Set 3: 25-6, Set 4: 11-25, Set 5: 15-12.

The Vikings will travel to 2nd ranked Orange County on Thursday. The Lady Vikings are the only Moore County High School team left standing.

The 9th ranked Lady Mustangs season came to an end on Tuesday. The 16-9 Mustangs were defeated by the 8th ranked Neuse Charter 0-3.
